A Wedding to Remember

It was on a rare sunny day in London that the Royal Wedding took place. Crowds of people gathered outside Westminster Abbey as the service took place. Inside, the Queen's second Grandson was marrying his beloved and the service was being attended by the worlds great and powerful. As a result, security was also very tight.

The world was still reeling from the attacks at the Oscars and Grammy's which had led to some of the worlds biggest stars becoming even bigger in a literal sense. A high profile event like this was sure to lead to similar trouble.

As the crowd thronged at the barriers, a group of people dressed in black made their way as close to the front as possible, cameras and selfie sticks prepared to cause chaos. The police and security couldn't force people to not bring cameras, but it was known to the public that anyone with one would be treated with suspicion.

Finally, the doors to the Abbey swung open and the bride and groom stepped out to wave to the adoring public and paparazzi. White flashes came from the crowd, but no blue. 'Would there be no attack on the wedding party,' the police wondered.

But the dark dressed men were waiting, steadying, picking their targets and awaiting the moment to strike. As the multitude of guests began exiting the Abbey, the order was given, sent to the group through social messaging. The blue lights began flashing.

The police response was quick and brutal. Almost a quarter of the crowd gathered at the barrier, were plain clothed officers, off duty or even drafted from the army. They quickly swarmed and tackled these 21st century terrorists to the ground and silenced the plot as quickly as it had begun. The anti-terrorism squads had known about the attack months in advance and had prepared accordingly, the high profile incidents at the Oscars and Grammy's spurring them on to make sure this didn't happen again and prevent it.

Unfortunately they didn't completely prevent the attack. The blue flashes did still happen and women in the wedding party were beginning to inflate. The women grew in size, their bodies becoming spherical in shape, tearing their expensive dresses to scraps and quickly beginning to float in the air.

The female world leaders escaped unscathed, although one of those floating past the Abbey was a future Queen of Britain, along with a Posh WAG, a best-selling Author and a long running former presenter of Blue Peter. The press had also been struck by the flashes and a couple of news correspondents were also floating into the sky, carried by North-Easterly winds past the Houses of Parliament and towards a squad of quadcopter drones carrying nets.

Security had prepared in advance for the possibility of some of the guests becoming balloons. Soon they were caught and brought back to Earth, where the process of deflating them would begin.
