Queen Beryl had successfully invaded the Moon Kingdom and had its ruler, Queen Serenity, at her mercy. Beryl could have destroyed her if she wanted... but that would be too easy. She wanted to humiliate her enemy. A random thought popped into her head. An idea so simple, it was a wonder no one else had thought of it.
Queen Beryl struck Queen Serenity with a blast of magic from her staff.
The Moon Queen screamed as her body began to inflate into a spherical form. Her long robes tore open and her skin turned a silvery-grey colour. Within seconds, Queen Serenity had been transformed into a carbon copy of the Moon itself.
Queen Beryl watched in amusement as her former enemy floated above the remains of her fallen kingdom. Victory was hers.
