While a brilliant inventor, Syndrome was hardly a chemist. Good thing he had enough money to hire some of the best in the field to help develop certain security measures.
He remembered, when supes were still held high in the public eye, an old supervillain called Berrymaster… or Cherrymaster, was it?
Eh, who cares.
Point was, this super chemist had developed a certain serum that caused an individual’s body to swell and become immobile, often taking the characteristics of fruit (hence their name).
Of course, the villain was long dead and her formulas destroyed by Elastigirl, but her impact on Syndrome never left… and it would hardly be forgotten by Mr. Incredible.
