An old story was often passed around the locals of the town: the story of Billie Big Feet.
The story goes that long ago, a girl named Billie dabbled in things she was never supposed to. Her curious nature would lead to her accidentally placing a curse on herself. The curse caused Billie's feet to swell and grow over time.
It wasn't noticeable at first, but as the days and weeks rolled by, Billie's feet started to grow bigger. She would walk around barefoot, for no shoes would fit her still-growing feet. Eventually Billie was forced to stay in her home for the rest of her days as many would make fun and bully her.
Now the ghost of Billie haunts the house. The locals say for one week a year Billie would roam the streets, cursing any she encountered with feet like hers. But of course the skeptical and those who debunk ghost stories like this always pay the price when they venture into town on the week she roams, some even entering her house, where Billie enjoys toying with them for her own amusement.
